Links to Christian Magazines

Christianity Today: Christianity Today was founded in 1956 by Billy Graham and has grown to be a leading voice among evangelical Christians. The site includes links to so many resources that it's almost impossible to name them. Among the highlights are articles from all of Christianity Today's 14 publications, and resources sections dedicated to areas like Leadership; Men's & Women's Resources; Teens & Kids; Books, Movies & Music; and Christian Living.

Christian Century: The CHRISTIAN CENTURY magazine believes that the Christian faith calls Christians to a profound engagement with the world--an engagement of both head and heart. That's why the CENTURY examines issues of politics and culture as well as theology, and that's why it pays attention to the challenges of faith that arise in our everyday lives as parents, friends, spouses and citizens. The website includes articles from recent issues in areas like Living By the Word, Books, Film, Faith Matters and more.

Discipleship Journal: For more than 25 years, Discipleship Journal—published by NavPress—has furnished Christians with insightful articles to help them understand the scriptures and grow in intimacy with God. At first, the website appears to be little more than a "store front," allowing you to purhcase a variety of NavPress resources. A closer look, however, will reveal many helpful resources including access to Bible reading plans, and an searchable archive containing direct access to 1000's of previous articles.

Sojourners: Founded in 1971, Sojourners is a Christian ministry whose mission is to proclaim and practice the biblical call to integrate spiritual renewal and social justice. The site includes articles and editorials from past and current issues, practical suggestions for getting involved in social justice issues, and links to resources like topical discussions guides.

The Upper Room: The Upper Room is just one of several devotional guides published by Upper Room Ministries, a publishing house with Methodist ties that dates back to the 1930's. In addition to online devotional resources, the site offers articles on spirituality and an interactive inventory that enables you to assess your "spiritual type".
