Adults at First Baptist
First Baptist Church offers a full range of opportunities for adults to experience fellowship, to grow in faith and to serve others. Some of our core ministries include:
- Sunday Morning Bible Study: Several different classes are available for adults of all ages. Each class selects its own literature and course of study, so choose the one that best suits your needs and interests.
- Tuesday Morning Bible Study: Each Tuesday at 10 AM, adults are invited to participate in a weekly Bible discussion group led by the pastor. Following the study, participants typically head out for lunch at the local Wendy's® restaurant.
- Church Leadership: Followers of Christ are called to invest their gifts and skills in service to others. Participation in our church's ministry teams and committees provides one way to serve God's kingdom and to receive training for greater effectiveness.
- Women's Mission Group: All ladies affiliated with First Baptist are encouraged to be part of our Women's Mission Group. Monthly gatherings provide a valuable time of fellowship and support and allow the group to organize ministry projects directed toward the Marshville community.
- Men's Ministry: The men at First Baptist are encouraged to be part of our Men's Ministry program. A monthly breakfast gathering for prayer and fellowship provides the springboard to service in the community and other opportunities.
- Music Ministry: Individuals with musical gifts and interests are invited to participate in our congregation's music ministry. The Adult Choir leads singing in our weekly worship gatherings. A handbell choir adds a creative element to our praise. Soloists and instrumentalists are also given opportunities to share their talents.
- Savvy Survivors: Senior Adults affiliated with our church can live life to the full as part of the Savvy Survivors. This fellowship sponsors outings, meals and other events to build friendships and offer support.
