A New Facility - A New Future

Future Facility of the First Baptist Church of Marshville

Be Our Guest in Our New Church Home

At long last, the church family at First Baptist Church of Marshville has moved into our new church home. Our first service in the facility was held on Sunday, September 12, 2010; and a service of dedication was held in conjunction with our annual Homecoming celebration on Sunday, September 19, 2010.

We would love to have you be our guest for worship or one of our other ministries. On Sunday mornings, you can join us for a Fellowship Time that begins at 9:30 AM. This is followed by Bible Study at 10 and Worship at 11.

For more detail on the rest of our schedule, please check our calendar.

It has been quite a journey to get to this point. On Sunday, March 22nd of 2009, the First Baptist Church of Marshville approved a basic plan for a new facility to stand near the interesection of Old Highway 74 and Old Pageland-Marshville Road in Marshville, a little more than one mile from our current location.

On Sunday, May 31st of 2009, a groundbreaking ceremony signaled the symbolic start of the construction effort, and in August of 2009, construction got underway. Finally, as we enter September of 2010, the building is complete. If you'd like to see the process that got us here, take a look at our construction slideshow.

A lot of hard work and prayer has been invested to get us to this point, and a lot more hard work and prayer remains ahead of us as we seek to make this facility—not just a 'church building'—but a church home: a place where a family of faith can worship God, grow in Christ and serve others...together!
